Cellphone Superhero

I have had one goal since I ever set a goal for myself: I was going to be a writer, just like J.K. Rowling. I've never thought that it would change drastically someday.

Of all the sky-diving, crime-busting, cape-wearing (ok, some of them), power-lifting superheroes I've seen (this includes Mang Jose of Parokya Ni Edgar, and ok, not realy seen, more like watched in the movies and read about), Superman is, so far, the one I admire the most. Why? Well, I guess it's because he's the "Man of Steel". Doesn't get afftected by bullets or bombs and bends knives when driven to him. He's also good-looking (based on the guys that played him, Christopher Reeves and Tom Welling... and that new guy in the new Superman movie). And of course, as all superheroes, he has a weakness. Kryptonite. But I must say, the one with greater effect on him is... love. May it be Lana or Lois or his parents, love seizes Clark Kent wherever, whenever, and undeniably gets him in trouble from time to time...as far as Smallville goes. I have yet to watch all four of the Superman movies and read the comic books.

My brother and I have this epic mega-hit movie (yeah right) brewing. All superheroes go head to head. We have this theory that the Men In Black will eventually emerged as the over-all victors. Technically, they're superheroes too, because they save the world from aliens. So, we think that Superman can take all of the superheroes (yeah, you heard me, throw in everything you've got, nuclear bombs and bird flu!) but when he faces MIB, with him being a Krypton native, making him an alien, he's lose. 'Coz, you know, MIB can concoct this Kryptonite -nfused laser beam or something to put into their guns and suck Superman into oblivion. Or make him go KABOOM or something.

But anyway. We're not talking about that. We're still in production. The promotion will take place a kazillion years from today. Stay tuned!

So anyway, the connection between my Personal Legend and superheroes. As can be found below, I recently lost my mobile phone, a.k.a. my cellphone. My older one, the one I lived with every fiber of my being, got stolen a year ago. Devastating. Last night, a dear friend of mine called. As I listened to the hysteria in her voice as she stuttered her teary account of the event, my heart broke into a million pieces, but at the same time, hardened worse thatn a diamond. (yes, I AM exaggerating) Her Samsung Sun phone was stolen in a supermarket. I helped her call the Sun Hotline but the operator lady told me she had to call her herself blah. But I know the feeling. Oh yes I do. Losing your cellphone, no matter how old or new or cheap or expensive it is, hurts. It left a hole in me the first time. The second time, it became a canyon.

As the saying goes, "What happens once will never happen again. What happens twice will surely hapen for a third time." So I prepared myself.

Now, I am dedicationg my life to becoming the first ever Cellphone Superhero. I will kick the crap out of cellphone thieves and hang upside down the people who find cellphones and don't return them to the owners. Or at least try to return them. I will finally bring about justice to those who have been deprived of their cellphones' company and services.

So watch out cellphone thieves! I'm coming!

P.S. Anyone got a good name for a superhero? I haven't decided on anything yet.

Sinking.... In.

Yeah, I know.. I haven't been updating a lot lately. Well, I got in the "Diary Mode" weeks ago, but now, I'm not even in that already.

I don't know why. Maybe the Blogging Bug's bite faded away already... For now, I mean.

Actually, my computer broke down. As in it BROKE DOWN. As if it's ickle heart has been stamped on my some big-ass SuperComputer. I think it got viruse-d because nothing is working, so we got it fixed. They had to reformat it and everything. I lost all the files. Well, I erased everything before giving PC away. Made back up files. A week later, I got it back. I was so damn happy I hugged and kissed it.

Yeah, everyone laughed at me.

You see, PC and I go way back... He got my back when I had loads of projects, papers, research work and stuff... I need him for communication! And of course, he helped me earn a bit, you know. And so I got it back. I was ECSTATIC! I t was weird having to work with Windows 2000. I loved XP. But oh well, better than nothing, right?

My brother and I needed it for work, so we used it. 'Twas great. I decided to let it rest 'coz the cd burning was getting a bit funky (broke like, 25 dvds man. not cool). And when I turned it on again... WHACK. Doesn't work anymore. So today, we had to ship it back to the repair shop.. :(

Anyway, this is, I feel, uninteresting read for people out there. AM I right? Yeah, I can hear y'all agreeing. So.. Here's some juicy stuff. Now, this is just for this time... No repeats. Haha! I don't pour out my soul in cyberspace.

There's this guy... I have a huge crush on him. He has this wonderful shy smile, and he's really respectful. He's such a boy next door, and obviously a really nice guy. But we never really talked. Just, you know, hi and hello. I really want him to talk to me. I want him to take the initiative to talk to me. Haha! But hey, I'm just one of the lowly "normal" people. If I was like, a supermodel, he'd talk to me... :(

C.U.R.S.E.D.

I am CURSED. With cellphones, I mean.

Five days ago, I lost my cellphone. That's the second one I lost. A little over a year ago, my phone was stolen. It was a Nokia 7650. I loved it so much because of the camera of course, and the recorder and the log... everything! I loved it. And then POOF! It's gone.

After a year, I got a new phone as a present from my godfather. Nothing fancy, but it's adorable. I know I posted something about it here... If I didn't, then nevermind 'coz I'm gonna talk about it anyway. It's a Nokia 6030. It's black, and has a radio! I love it. And it kinda looks like an Ericsson so it's cool.

March 31, 2006 --> My friends and I went out to celebrate a graduation. Afterwards, we went to Greenhills Promenade to sing our toncills out at the KTV. It was loads of fun. We played at Timezone before that. It's been forever since we last did that. It's like being a kid again (which I still am, you know, just a bit older). It's like the perfect night out. And then when I finally reached into my bag to call the driver (I had to go home, it was 11:30 pm already), it's not there. My Globe phone. I was using my Sun phone all the time because of the unlimited text thing. But my Globe phone is gone. I thought I just dropped it, so we searched the whole KTV room. It's not there.

We went back to Timezone.
It's not there.

We searched my car and my friend's car (we rode them going to the restaurant and back).
Not there either.

The restaurant was closed already so the next day, my friend called. They said it wasn't there. I kept on calling my phone all night, and it kept on ringing and ringing and ringing...

When my other phone got stolen, we called it a few times and after a while, it was turned off already so we couldn't get through. But this time, until the next day at around 3pm, I was still calling my phone, and it still kept on ringing.

My Harry Potter tune...

This second loss stuck to me and bummed me more because first of all, the phone is only 3 months old. Ok, technically I didn't spend on it because it was given to me, but still, I love it. The messages in there cannot be recieved again... I mean, the time it was sent and recieved cannot be brought back. The other irritating thing is that I have to ask everyone for their numbers again. It's okay actually, but there are numbers there, people that I only have contact with through SMS, and I might not find them again.

From now on, I'm gonna look for a big ol' chain and stick my phones around my neck.
