At Work Taking Advantage of DSL

Yes, that's what I;m doing right now whle pretending to work on promos for the whole year. Haha. I'm horrible. Well, I really am working on promos, and I'm happy to tell you that I've finished the one for May and July already. All I need now is the boss's approval and I can print it out and stuff. Next I'm gonna do the one for June.

I actually pulled the pump plug to plug in the dsl because there's no more available plugs in this tiny tiny office. Pity to the person who goes to the bathroom right now. Lol. I'm bad. I will replug the pump at noon, I promise. I swear, if I stood up and spread my arms, I'd be touching both walls. It's that small.

So I'm planning on taking up another job after this one. The thing is, the company I wanna go to requires a lot of certificates and stuff, and I don't have the time right now to get all of them because I'm at work 5 days a week. I can only go on a Saturday. Hmm. Maybe I will tomorrow. But still, I have no idea when this current job would end. My minimum 120hrs. would be up by Monday, and I wanna go already. but my boss told me yesterday that next week the PR agency will come here and we'll be meeting with them. That's so exciting! That's like the only exciting thing I've heard in two weeks. I think I'll prepare a calling card, just in case. PR is one of the things I'd like to do in the future and this could be an opportunity.

Anyway, I have to get back to designing these coffee cards.

P.S. I listened to the whole of Analog Heart awhile ago and it was just awesome. Awesome!

6 1/2 hours to go until freedom!!!

I Have No Idea What Title to Give This

So there.

I was supposed to write one of my Top 10 lists I made during work today while I was bored outta my wits, but I went through the top 10 lists and I just realized that they're so boring like Top 10 favorite songs or favorite movies or countries I would like to go to... So ordinary, right? The nice ones I haven't finished yet. I'm still working on 10 Things I'm Gonna Do When I Go to England and the 5 Albums I Wanna Listen to If I'm Trapped in a Deserted Island. Pretty hard because I mean, I'd probably die on that island and so I wanna be listening to all my favorite songs by different artists. Maybe I'll just write "My Own Compilation" there.

I'm still working on the 10 Weirdest Things About Me.

So... I don't know if I've mentioned it but I've been marathon-ing Charmed since I don't know, two or three weeks ago. I'm in Season 4 now, and so I'm kinda back in the whole magical world and everything. So these past couple of days, I've been feeling kinda down. I wanna make myself feel better, but that usually entails lots and lots of sleep, maybe a bit of baking, and lots of DVDs and some books. Maybe ice cream and donuts too. But I'm trying to cut back on fats now 'coz work has me sitting all day, add that with the heat of the summer and I just might get a stroke or a heart attack. So I'm sort of being careful now. And work takes up my whole day (and I can't sleep there) so no time for all the other things, except at night, like right now, maybe for a couple of hours.

I rambled, I know, I'm sorry. So anyway, being back in the magical world because of Charmed combined with the shitty feeling makes me wanna wallow in my sorrow or something. So I thought, what is magical and at the same time sad?

Now I'm back to Harry.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for it yet. I held off all these months from reading it a second time because it's like...such a huge thing. It's the last one, and a heavy one, filled with actions and emotions. It's not like the other books where I could just cry at the end because that's where the sad part is. This book... It's all throughout.

I read until page 6 just awhile ago. It was... I think I'll stop there for now. Because Harry Potter books, especially that last one, demands my whole attention. I can't concentrate when I'm thinking about how I should sleep early because I have another 9 hours of my life to waste at work tomorrow.

But I miss that world. I really do. It's like my safe place, you know? When I'm sad, I could just open the book and get lost in that world again. I wish this work thing is over so I could get back there.

Huwat?!

I love Jason and all, but he was the weakest last night. And they eliminate Carly?! She was awesome! She was up there with David Cook and Syesha. And then Syesha's in the bottom 3?! Please. My bottom two are Archuleta and Jason. I love them both, heck, I love all of them. But really, this is seriously unfair. And it sucks more 'coz I can't vote!

Oh well.

Silver lining: David Cook is still there.

David Cook --- Again

I just saw the show. He was awesome. All of them were! Well, I'm scared for Jason Castro though. I mean, I love him a lot, I love his sound, so mellow and soothing, that's why broadway week is bad for him. He doesn't have the voice-power to do justice to the songs. But I still love him.

Anyway, David just keeps on getting better every week. I'm not a big fan of musicals and stuff so I had no idea what the heck they were singing. But David's performance actually made me wanna watch Phantom of the Opera. I know the movie sucks compared to the real show (everybody says so) but that's all I have here and it's been here for over a year now and I haven't watched it yet. But tonight, because of David, I'm gonna watch that movie. Teehee.

He rocks.

P.S. I love Carly's SIMON LOVES ME (this week) t-shirt!!!

Work Blues

I'm at work right now, bored outta my wits. I've been given this marketing strategy thing to work on the whole week. As of this moment, I have reached the end of my daily supply of ideas. Basically, I'm done with this task and I still have 6hrs left in my work day. What the hell am I supposed to do? I don't have a computer or a laptop so surfing is out. I'm blogging with my phone right now because my phone doesn't have that complete keypad thing like a keyboard so it's difficult.'

David Cook

I liked him from the beginning. I liked his genre and his voice and his style. He reminded me of Bo (whom I miss, by the way. I wish he'd make a better sophomore album!). He's kinda somewhere between Daughtry and Bo, but at the same time totally different. D'you get me? But anyway, there was one Top 24 episode when he kind of turned me off. He came across as arrogant when he talked back to Simon about his comments. I mean, yeah, Simon could be harsh often, but he knows what he is talking about. Besides, his, er, comparisons are the best! Meatless burger is at the top of my mind right now. Haha.

Anyway, David Cook is just AWESOME. Yeah I was kind of turned off with his attitude, I mean, because Chris Daughtry and Bo were just as talented but really humble, but now David has shown what he can do and no weird attitude could erase the greatness of his version of Billie Jean and Always Be My Baby. The moment I heard him sing Billie Jean, I was like, "That's it. That's what I've been looking for this season." Anyway, even if he shows Simon attitude again, I'd still buy his future album. Maybe that's really the way he is. I mean, I wouldn't want him to be fake-humbling. Gets?

But by far, David's rendition of Always Be My Baby is the best I've ever heard. I totally agree with Paula that it could be a movie soundtrack right now. I can really see it in a movie. I just hope that if ever they use it, they'd use it in a good movie. Lol. I listened to that song for like 100 times today, maybe even more. I was at work for 9 hours and I had that song looped all throughout. Except for a couple of hours of Maroon 5. Still, I can't get enough of it!

I was gonna put up the song here so you people can have a listen, but the site where I used to upload my music to somehow got reformatted or something (if you'd check out the tag "song of the moment", you'd see that all the music's not working. argh.). Anyway, check out the "video" version. It's worth the loading wait!!!

Musings from the Library

I'm holding on to whatever it is that I'm holding on to, just to get this day over with.

I'm currently at the school library, waiting for my last class for the day. I am so still in the holiday mood. I can't believe I have to face a long test in 2 day's time. I haven't cracked a single book the whole break. The only thing school related that I did was copy my notes onto a nice notebook. I'm kind of OC sometimes. It's kind of hard to believe but I can be neat. Lol. Now my notes are nice and easy to read. Hopefully I do that because I have another long test on Saturday.

Which reminds me, I forgot to quit my job. Does anybody know how to write a 2 week's notice? I can't do it anymore. My subjects are more demanding this sem and I barely passed last sem. So I'm quitting. Kind of sad about the loss of income though but I'd be a bit more relaxed without a headstrong (that's putting it mildly) kid to worry about. I've got so much on my plate as it is, what with school and demented family issues, I don't need more reasons to binge on chocolate or ice cream. Mmm. I've been craving chocolate donuts and ice cream since last week. But I've gotta watch my weight and my wallet so too bad. I'll just settle for watching Will & Grace eat Ben n Jerry's from the container. They're my latest depression meds.

So there. I've successfully killed 30mins. I've got about 5mins to nap and then dash off to class. Thank heavens for MMS.

>.<

I tried squeezing my eyes tightly and concentrating, hoping that I somehow possess Hiro's powers.

It turned out that this tremendous feat only brought out the fart master in me.

Kidding, guys.

It's only the second day of the year and I'm already feeling depressed. Why? Well, one thing is that I didn't complete my new year's eve blogathon. Another thing is that I haven't studied a thing since vacation started, and now I only have 5 days to complete all of the assignments: stuff for events management, prepare for 2 long tests for next week, read really really long readings, and rewrite my notes.

Oh, and yeah, my cousin was shot by some random asshole while he was chatting with his sister outside their house the other day and right now he's at the brink of death.

What kind of sick, twisted world do we live in???

Everything was fine a couple of days ago. I was actually having a happy Christmas. Well, except for two instances when my mom annoyed the hell outta me but I can just be a bitch sometimes so we just forget about it the next day.

We were fine. We were happy. I greeted some people a happy new year too. And then that terrible news came and I just can't help but stop. Just stop. I want everything to stop for a second and just let me digest this situation. How can a wonderful holiday turn into a freakish nightmare, just like that?

I'm not really close with my cousin who got shot. I barely even see him. I only saw him again (after what, eight, nine years?) Christmas morning. He was here and he was smiling and it was great seeing all of them. And then just like that...

Now I'm facing my impending return to the hellhole I call school. I don't know why. I loved school in my sophomore year. I mean, not totally loved it (there were definitely a lot of sucky moments), but this school year is just HORRIBLE. I swear. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere in any subject. Well, I guess it's just theology that I hate. It's not the subject, really. It's more of the teacher.

I mean, he is a pretty cool teacher by normal standards, but seriously, his teaching style sucks. I can't understand what he's trying to say. Even the people sitting right in front of him can't understand what he's saying. I'm actually missing our previous theo prof (who we thought was sent up from the deep south). At least we knew what to answer to pass his course. But this... My prof now makes me dread every MWF. I sit there every session staring at him and concentrating really hard, with everything I've got, just to get the gist of what he's saying. But he keeps on jumping from one point to the other without really explaining each very well. So what I get is just this whole mess of stuff in my notebook that I can't make sense of.

Bah, I don't wanna think about it anymore. Basta, I'm going to look for 150-pesos shoes and clean up my notes and read everything I'm supposed to read. I can't give up now; life will continue to suck anyway.

Very Superficial List of My Top 10 Guys of 2007!!!

To save you from all the murderous things I've been posting, here's a bit of eye candy!

As promised, here's my top ten list of guys that I found hot, cute, or just tickled my fancy for this year.

10. Christopher Gorham

He's Henry from Ugly Betty, but I actually started liking him back in 1999 when he played Harrison John, a nobody in high school, in the show Popular. Few people know about this show (because they're probably busy watching Dawson's Creek!) which is annoying because it's quite good. I sort of went twilight zone and downloaded the first season of Popular because I never got to finish watching it since it suddenly got canceled over here.

Why he's on the list: He's just adorable as a dork. And I like guys with glasses. (not all, but most)
9. David Boreanaz
He's just hot. He was Angel in Buffy, and he was hot then. He's still hot now in Bones as Seeley Booth with his cute patterned socks and outrageously huge belt buckles. And I absolutely love his and Tempy's (his partner) chemistry.

Why he's on the list: It actually is not just him. I just love his dynamics with his co-star. It makes him cuter when he goes all "dumb jock" on the show.

8. Chris Pine
Ah, Chris. I went to see his latest movie Blind Dating back in July. It was okay, except for that one hideous line that's supposed to be the climax of the movie. (I posted it here somewhere, check in the July 2007 archive)

Why he's on the list: Princess Diaries 2. He was just such a prince charming there. I know it deviated so much from the book but that's why I watch the movie over and over. It's a cheesy chick flick but whatever. It's one of my happy movies!

7. Justin Hartley a.k.a Green Arrow/Oliver Queen
Seriously, the first time I saw Oliver Queen I was like......*faint*.

Why he's on the list: He's just really sexy. Seriously. Look at him! Oh and he gave me another reason to keep on watching Smallville (even though his character's gone now :( )

6. Jake Cuenca
First local artista here! And the only one. Lol. He's one of my superficial crushes. He's just hot. Although his acting skills still have a lot of room for improvement, still. His a pretty face.

Why he's on the list: I'm being pro-Pinoy! And I promised you eye candy so there. :)

5. Jensen Ackles a.k.a. Dean Winchester
He's one of the pretty boys. He was hilarious back then and now that he's dying (his character in Supernatural, I mean), he's even better! He's just an all-out joyride!

Why he's on the list: He has great eyelashes. I want ones like his.
4. Chris Tiu
Ah. Chris.

As related to me by a friend:

Two girls were walking and complaining about their shitty week. A professor was walking behind them and he could hear them complaining.

Girl 1: I hate this week! It's such a hell week. And my prof sucks!
Girl 2: Yeah mine too! She gave us too much homework it's ridiculous!

Then, the two girls suddenly stopped to look at something on the bulletin board.

Girl 1: So, are you feeling better yet?
Girl 2: *sigh* Yeah I think I am.
The two girls walked away. The professor, curious as to what made them stop yakking, looked at the bulletin board and saw... ...that they were looking at a picture of Chris Tiu.

Why he's on the list: He's just...perfect. (as far as I know) He kind of made me have faith in the male population again.

3. Eric Dane a.k.a. McSteamy
I actually saw him in Charmed where he played Phoebe's boss, Jason Dean. I found him really attractive back then and then forgotten all about him and now he's back in my radar.
Now I know why Addison cheated on Derek. Lol! Seriously, just look at him. If every 35-year-old man looked like him, then everyone would be happy. At least all the women will be.

Why he's on the list: The word "McSteamy" says it all!

2. Jared Padalecki a.k.a. Sam Winchester
He may be not as much fun as Dean, but he is as good-looking. I don't know exactly why I like him better than Dean. I mean, Sam is uptight and annoying at times and is a kind of know-it-all... But he's still oh so hot. Really. And he's really tall.

Why he's on the list: Because I like geeky guys.

and the winner is...

1. Randy Orton
I just... He's just... Oh man. He's annoyingly arrogant, but that just makes him even sexier. And he's really tall and muscular and hot. I should stop now.

Why he's on the list: Because everytime I see him I go, "Damn. It should be a crime to look that good."

It's midnight! Happy 2008 everyone!!!

I've Got an Hour and a Half...

And I'm still 8 posts away from my goal! Argh!!!

Another un-holiday-ish post for you guys. Because of all the new horror stuff that I found, I remembered some of my old bookmarked ones and went back to check them out.

Sad to say that one of them (Bitten ~ Behind the Horror Show) is somehow gone already. It was a really cool horror movie review blog, and I think they did book reviews too. I found the website that the blog was dedicated to here, but its last update was way back in 2006! I did look around and I think it's still worth a visit. There are really cool Asian horror films I've never seen before there.

Now for my "serial killer" phase --> Dead Silence. I was researching about Jack the Ripper a year ago for history class and I stumbled upon this blog about serial killers! I know it's kind of creepy that I enjoy reading this, but really, it's quite interesting. I thought serial killers were really rare, but because of this blog I discovered that they're actually abundant even today.

There's even an 8-year-old serial killer! Can you believe that?! What kind of twisted world do we live in? And the profiles are kind of helpful too. I mean, you can't be too careful, right? It says there that "organized" serial killers can live two separate lives, and no one is the wiser. One man is described by his wife as "the perfect husband" or something. They had a great marriage, and then lo and behold, he turns out to be a serial killer. Man. And also, there are some people who actually collect serial killer memorabilia like their toe clippings and sketches from inside their cells and stuff. It's really disgusting when you think about it, but to each his own, yeah?
