Plugging

FANATICISM <--- click click click! I'm just plugging this bit. Hehe. It's my story. Well, a story that I made (am still making). I know, I know, I had you all clicking away to superhero-slacker before (although I doubted anyone did, no reviews whatsoever). I haven't finished that yet. I'm sorry. I know I promised. But hey, I'm not dead yet, and if anyone's reading this, you're probably not dead yet because you still are reading this. So I've got time, and I'm going to finish that one. I did make another chapter though, but I haven't posted it yet. It's not quite complete. Anyway, this new one will surely be complete because I'm really rushing to get it out of my system. You see, when I get a burst of inspiration, it only lasts for a week or two, a month if it's really strong. As you can see in the posts below, I'm currently obssessing on something (or rather, someone) and I had this story in my head for like, four days, and I really needed to get it out, or else it'll be another one of those ideas tossed into the recycle bin of my head. What a waste of ideas.

So before this whole LDW syndrome is over (I hope it drags on a little longer...he's still my wallpaper so that's a good sign) I'll get to finish this story. It'll be short, around 5 to 6 chapters only. I'm counting on ending it by the weekend. I can't keep on sleeping late on school days like this.

I hope nobody thinks of me as shallow. I mean, yeah, I'm crushing on celebrities and stuff, but it's more for inspiration than...you know, plain obssession. Being infatuated with a celeb like I am right now brings the creativity out of me. It makes me imaginative. It gets me productive. Well, at least I don't just sit around watching tv this time of night. No, I don't study at this time. Nothing goes in my head. So like right now, things kind of just pop up in my head and I write them down (or type them up, to be more accurate). Then I can entertain a few people for a bit! If anybody bothers to read it.

Anyhow, that's all for now. I might lose this train of thought!

I'm Sorry, But I'm Totally Addicted

Sorry... But I just HAVE to post these! Enjoy! :)

He's just so dreamy... *sigh*

Dream Guy

This is Lee Dong Wook, the lead actor in the Korean series titled "My Girl". Well, he's my current addiction. Hahaha! I don't watch Korean telenovelas actually, until I saw the preview on this one, and I got interested.

It's about this guy and girl who pretended they were cousins (or siblings, I don't know, the dubbed version said cousins, but the English subtitled one said brother and sister...so I don't know). Lee Dong Wook (Seol Gong Chan in the original version and Julian in the Filipino version) plays the executive director of an elite hotel whose grandfather, the chairman of the hotel, is dying and is searching for his long lost granddaughter. Lee Da Hae (Ju Yoo Rin in the original version and Jasmine in the Filipino dubbed version) is the daughter of a swindler who's special talent is lying. They met, and Julian decided to make Jasmine play the part of his cousin to save his grandpa from dying. You all should see it for yourselves. I did a marathon viewing of the whole series (only 16 episodes) last night, and I was crying and laughing. It's really hilarious, Lee Da Hae just cracks me up! But the drama scenes are just heartbreaking, I was crying for at least 6 hours straight. I don't know, maybe because I could relate to Jasmine's dilemma: you love the guy, but you couldn't tell him because it'll ruin everything. Well, for their case, they're supposed to be siblings; for my case... the friendship. And what's more hurtful is knowing (a little) that the guy also has feelings for you but he's pretending not to or trying to push it away (at least he had feelings for her. unlike me...no hope there!). Ok, now I'm spoiling it for everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is, it's a great show. It's extremely funny with powerful moments that'll guarantee to make you look crazy, with all that laughing and crying! I know, none of that intellectualy stimulating things, but hey, the heart is real also.

And hey, LEE DONG WOOK is there! What better reason to watch?! Hahaha! He's sooooo cute!

Snotty People

I just hate it when people, “intellectual” people, look down upon people who admire movie stars, “celebrities”. I was watching the program The Scholar, and each of the contestants were asked a series of questions. One of those was, “Which well-known person would you want to have dinner with” or something like that, I didn’t quite catch the question. All the contestants chose someone who’s involved in politics or is a historical figure or something. And this one girl answered, “Angelina Jolie”. One of the three judges, while they discussed the answers, commented, “I could’ve jumped off a building at the first answer.”

I mean, what’s wrong with that? Angelina Jolie is a great role model. She’s a great woman. Yes, she is a celebrity, and she uses her status to her advantage, that is, to influence people to do good. She’s famous, beautiful, charismatic and (we can’t deny) rich. She adopts orphans from poor countries and raises them as her own. They may be of a different race to her, but she doesn’t care. She goes to Africa to do charity, and I mean really do it, not just donate huge chunks of money and sit back and see where that goes. She chose Namibia, a not-so-well-known African country as her hiding place for her pregnancy, rather than sailing off to some high class place like France or Italy. She and Brad are spokespersons for charities, and they’re not only faces.

I think that Angelina did more in trying to make the world better than those three judges just sitting there being “intellectual”. Yes, their jobs are important too, but why do that particular judge have to judge Angelina right away as an unworthy choice for a role model just because she’s a celebrity? Angelina is a humanitarian, and she is serious about it. She helps people with her heart, not just to make her image better. I believe that a person needs not to memorize the Constitution or have an over-the-top IQ to be a good role model. A person just needs to have the purest intentions in his/her heart to make the world a better place, and they are more than good enough to be looked up to by everyone.
