Halloween Lang Turns 4!

This is seven months late, but at least it's here. I would just like to greet my blog a happy happy fourth birthday! Man, I cannot believe that it has been four years since my first post. Four and a half, actually. Wow, it has been that long.

I kind of regret not starting my whole blogging life right here. I had 2 blogs before this (they actually overlapped for a few months). I guess this is where I really found home.

I'm planning on compiling everything into hard copy volumes. I think it'd be nice to have them hard bound by year. I will soon need an extra cabinet or something for this. Hmm.

Anyway, happy happy birthday Halloween Land!!! :)

Twilight Weekend

Grabe, I had a blast last night. Got in at around 2AM with my head still ringing. No, it's not because of the movie. Well, the movie was... I don't know, blah. There's so much more excitement in the book. It came across as a very watered-down version of the action part. But boy, the cheesiness was still puke-inspiring. When Edward said the line "You are my life now", any other girl would've swooned but man, I think the whole theater felt me cringe (along with my five friends). Okay, so Edward is undeniably attractive, but after 10 minutes of his utterly fake paleness (we could see the natural blush of Robert Pattinson from under the smothering of powder. And his really red ears gave his obviously still-beating and blood-distributing heart away), it he didn't do much for me anymore. On the other hand, Jasper was surprisingly popular amongst us. James came in third (I think Carlyle is second). Hahaha. The human-blood-sucking vampire was hot. He kept running around bare-chested. Woohoo.

As for Bella... She was... I don't know. She was a little bit detached, I think. It was okay at the first part when she was going around zombie-ish, not caring at all. It was so her. But when she met Edward, she didn't really show signs of her obsession. She was too "cool". Then there was that burst of emotion in the hospital scene. It was weird. We were all like, "Where did that come from?!" But I think her acting way five notches better than Edward's.

Of course, everybody loved Charlie. He's the best, really. And the only scene that really had me staring and kind of emoting was when Bella had to leave. It was Charlie who provided the drama. I love him.

Overall, it was just blah. It didn't suck to the pits of hell; it wasn't great either. Forgettable. I can't even replay clearly any scene in my head (except the ones in the trailers because I've seen those millions of times).

Anyway, the movie wasn't what made my whole evening. My friends did. Goodness, I didn't realize how much I've missed them!

So after the movie, we went to the restroom. This was GB3 so the restroom was nice and had a couch. We didn't really mean to but we sort of just hung out inside the restroom on the couch and dissed the movie. Haha. I love them for their dissing skills. I swear. I know it's mean but with them you just can't help joining in. They're absolutely hilarious!

Before seeing the movie, we had a bit of dinner and got to talking about Robert Pattinson. One of them said that she heard that he had a boyfriend. So is he gay? We don't know for sure. Don't really care either. Then the other one (who already saw the movie earlier this week) complained about Robert's voice as not being deep enough (the book described it as velvelty and Robert's just isn't). But then I remembered one scene from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (where Rob plays Cedric Diggory), the one in the bridge where he told Harry about submerging the egg in water. He said something like, "You know that prefect's bathroom on the fifth floor? It's not a bad place to take a bath." (We added that at this point Harry must've been thinking, "Hold on, is he asking me to take a bath with him?" Lol.) Then Cedric added, "Bring your egg."

I did a (very bad) Cedric impersonation during dinner last night and when I said the "bring your egg" part, we all just cracked up. What with the gay rumours and something else... Yeah. It's all green up there.

Anyway, my friend told me that she'll definitely remember that line in the movie. We'll know when - she'll laugh. So during the CR-tambay period, I asked her during which scene did she remember that line. She said it was the scene where Edward was pinning James against the wall and was about to bite his neck. Hahahaha. Wonderful homoerotic scene right there.

So after we realized that we've been hanging out in a place where people do numbers 1 and 2, we decided to head on downstairs and find a better place to chat. Starbucks was packed beyond its overflowing point so we went in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. We scored couch seats and another table. So we settled in with our drinks and kind of caught up. Same same at first, what's new, who's with who, any news about latest developments and stuff. We also covered pervy professors, expecting ex-schoolmates, high school crushes, all of that. It's never boring with these people. We ended up talking about farting techniques! It was crazy. We all couldn't stop laughing even though our stomachs felt like imploding already. People were starting to look our way too, but we didn't care. There was no silence sign anywhere.

I absolutely love these people. It was so refreshing just letting loose with them. We've known each other for what, about 8-10 years now and have been close for half of them. (Note: this isn't my "official" barkada. I have different sets of friends. Lol.) They know how kooky I can get and they don't care. Green jokes are enthusiastically received. And they make the best hirits in the world (all my friends do, actually). What I love about them is that I don't have to censor myself. I could just be me, totally. I can be as stupid as I can get and not fear that they'd think less of me. We can laugh with and at each other and it wouldn't really matter. Sometimes, we just laugh with no reason at all. Someone might just laugh out of nowhere (maybe because she remembered something funny) and then we'd just laugh at that person because she looks crazy or laughs funny. And so we'd just all be laughing and holding our stomachs for no reason at all and it would just be a whole lot of fun.

Won an Award!

I CANNOT believe that somebody actually thinks my blog (this one) is "smart and brilliant both in their content and their design". Wow. Seriously. I don't think I've ever said anything brilliant ever, nor does the "Halloween Land" thing come across as brilliant. My head banner kinda screams TALENTLESS AT PHOTOSHOP. Lol.

But anyway, thank you thank you thank you so much to my friend Tiffany for this award. This is my first blog award thing EVER and I absolutely love it! Thanks so much! Finally, my five years of blogging has an actual reward. Lol.

THE RULES:

Brilliant Weblog is a prize given to sites and blogs that are smart and brilliant both in their content and their design. The purpose of the prize is to promote as many blogs as possible in the blogsphere. Here are the rules to follow:

1) Put the logo on your blog.

2) Add a link to the person who awarded you.

3) Nominate other blog (optional)

4) Add links to those blogs on yours.

5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.

***

The thing is, I don't really read blogs. I mean, I do read blogs when I've got time to spare but I rarely read personal blogs. So I don't really know who to nominate for this. Let me think about it first and then I'll post my nominees on my next post. :)

Cheers!

Lifehouse in Manila = AWESOME!!!

I just came home from the concert. Man, it was short but sweet. It lasted for only an hour and a half but it was worth every painful penny. They sang about 10-12 songs, I wasn't able to keep count because I was partly busy adjusting my camera which could only record 4 minutes of video (I don't know why, it was 500mb), and partly screaming my lungs out.

Jason and the rest were simply magnificent. They were very energetic, running and jumping around the stage. They really looked like they were having fun with us. The whole coliseum was really pumped up. The house was packed to the brim. I actually vacated my seat and ran as near to the stage as the big thugs would allow me. Haha. I got to the fifth row, I think. Even though I didn't know the lyrics to all their songs, I just jumped along with the people beside me. Marvelous. I think I sweat off my whole lunch.

They sang my most favoritest song in the world, Hanging by a Moment. I guess it's pretty obvious that they're gonna sing it because it's their first hit ever here in the Philippines (or was it Sick Cycle Carousel? Basta.). They also sang You & Me (okay, stop saying duh). I also wished they'd perform Everything. But they didn't. Sigh. It's one of the...I don't know, it's a "swelling song". You know, the one that starts low and slow and then swells towards the end and then you unconsciously start banging your head. It was one of Smallville's Lana+Clark songs. Lol.

Anyway, I didn't get that many pictures because of the weird camera memory thing. I did get several videos though. I'm gonna work on compiling and uploading them here some time later. As of now, here are the only pics. :)

David Cook WINS!!!

My head still hurts because of all the screaming I did awhile ago when Seacrest said "COOK!" after taking his sweet time to look at the result card.

I seriously did not expect that David Cook will win. I mean, yeah, I'd love for him to win, but last night's show scared me because little David really brought it on. His first song (the one originally by Elton John) did give me shivers. I was waiting for DC to bring out something like Billie Jean or Always Be My Baby. His performances were alright, but there wasn't that certain "kick" he usually had.

So while the two Davids stood there, side by side, waiting for their fate, I was all nauseous and at the same time preparing myself, figuring out what my reaction would be if they say Archuleta won.

I totally thought DA will win!

I am so glad Cook won. I mean, for the first time since I started watching AI (started with season 3), it's the first time that the one I'm actually rooting for won. He deserved it. All of it.

Don't get me wrong, David Archuleta is a fabulous singer. He has a wonderful voice, but he's too boyband-ish for me. If I were 17 now, I would've been rooting for him. He would fit perfectly in Westlife, I swear. Simon would be glad, that's one of his bands and they're short one member. Lol. It's just that little David sings ballads all the time. I had my boyband days, believe me, I still have posters in my closet to prove that, but too much ballads is just...too much. When DA sings upbeat songs it just isn't as good as his ballads. Versatility is what he lacks. Although I do agree that he could sing a phone book and it would be lovely, but he's gonna sing a ballad phone book. However, with a little more experience, I bet he'd be great.

Still, for me, David Cook is the best this season. It's time for a rocker to win! Lol. This is the guy that can sing absolutely anything. He made me like Always Be My Baby! He can remake arrangements to suit him. He never had an awful performance. All his "not great" performances were at least above average. He took risks, and they all paid off. He's original. He's talented. He's basically just the greatest.

I read somewhere where the author thinks DC just sounds like every other rocker out there. Fine, rockers have that signature raspy grungy voice, but that doesn't mean he sounds like all of them. That's like saying Little D sounds like every other boyband/balladeer out there (which I think is not true. I could totally tell if it's DA that's singing). What I like about DC is that yeah, he has that rough side to his voice, but he has that tender side too, which can be heard in his rendition of Music of the Night. Anyone who can come close to the Gerard Butler's version deserves the title of awesome. He doesn't just scream, he can turn on a sort of falsetto during high notes. He's just really well rounded as a musician and a great guy according to Simon.

The only thing I'm worried about is that he's gonna be tied down to the AI contract now. I hope his first album won't suck. Well, he could always do what Kelly Clarkson did and "break away" in his second album. Lol.

Anyway, good luck to both Davids, really. They're the best top 2 since Bo and Carrie, and I wish they both have tremendous careers and not fade into oblivion like other Idol contestants.

Three

This is indeed a day of celebration!

Since I got swamped with schoolwork the first three months of this year, I completely forgot about this special occasion:

MY BLOG'S 3RD BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOGGIE!

I can't believe I forgot my blog's birthday. I also can't believe that it's been three years since I first posted here. Whoa.

High school has been that long ago. :(

Anyway, no time for sad faces now. Another thing to celebrate about: THIS IS MY 300th POST!!!

WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!

I know, other blogs that are three years old has way more posts than 300. I mean, it's a toddler blog already. I will really try to post a lot more often than this. At present, I average 100 posts a year. Kinda pathetic, right? To think that about a quarter of those posts are seriously useless. Haha!

So there.

And last but not the least, the last thing I'm happy about today is that I'm 5 hours away from completing my minimum 120 hours practicum hours!!!!!

Actually, I'm really 3 hours away from completing it, but I can't get out of work early so I have to stay a couple more hours. I do wanna take a break though. I wanna get out of here for an hour. But the thing is, where will I go? First of all, I don't have a car. Second, I don't have money. I have a hundred pesos in my wallet and I have to make that last until the weekend. I could ask for this week's allowance though, but since World War 100 broke out at home last night, I'm gonna let the opposing powers to cool off a bit and ask for my allowance maybe tomorrow or the next day.

And one more thing is that I don't know when this practicum will end. Sure, I've completed the minimum hours but they said that they're gonna keep me until May. I'm hoping that means they're gonna let me go by May 2. 'Coz I really wanna get another job that's a bit more active and maybe one that pays, even just a small allowance.

So there. 3 celebrated things for my 300th post on my blog's 3rd birthday! Yey!

Analog Heart by David Cook

No, this won't get him kicked out of the competition. In fact, Analog Heart became the top downloaded album in Amazon.com this year, until they pulled it out. Don't know why. I just got all these infos from several news site and blogs. They don't know either. It's kinda weird 'coz someone mentioned that other contestants like Kristy Leigh Cook also has an album out there somewhere. It's just that all their albums are independently released. Someone even said that David burned the CDs himself. It's weird why his was the only one pulled out.

Anyway, I accidentally came across Don't Say A Word while I was looking for the studio version of Music of the Night. I thought it was a joke or something but I got curious so I downloaded it. And man, am I glad I did! It was awesome! No wonder David kicks ass every single night! His experience really paid off (he is/was part of a band named Axium which was his high school band, and they played with Maroon 5, Fountains of Wayne, and Smash Mouth already). His gig days really polished him off. And ANALOG HEART is proof that he's great from the start (it's his solo album, btw). He even has a degree on graphic design (which I think is really cool!) but music truly is his passion.

Awesomeness.

I'm gonna place a link to my Multiply site later on because I can't seem to upload the songs. But you could easily google for them, lots of blogs have links where you can download or listen to the album. :)

Delilah is so Lucky

I've had the song Hey There Delilah by Plain White Tees in my head for days. It has replaced Stolen. Lol. One day I'm gonna make a list of my Top 10 Best LSS Songs. Wait for that some time at the end of the year.

free music

Anyway, Friday was a good day. It started out alright. I was late for Film History yet again. I am really feeling guilty already. And the other thing is that I wasn't able to go watch Control, the movie about Ian Curtis, Joy Division's lead singer. It was the last showing day that day at Gateway Cinema 4. But the showing time was at 12:30pm. I had class at 2:30 so I didn't go. I'm trying to download it now but I can't find a torrent anywhere. I did find one named Control.avi, but I'm not sure what it is. Please please please let it be the right one.

Com Res is as boring as clipped toenails, like always. We had yet another group activity. We were asked to explain something about the reading he assigned, which I haven't read until now. I really have to get to that tomorrow. I have to be productive! So yeah, I just sat there, nodded my head a bit as everyone else discussed. Oh well. I'm just gonna chip in some of my thoughts on Monday. Magpakitang gilas kahit konti.

The excitement began after my proper classes. Celadon CnP Night! Yey! I had to walk from Comm Dept to ISO. To those who don't know what I'm talking about... That is a really long walk. I'm not good with distances but maybe that's around 1km, give or take a few inches...

So I got there expecting everyone to be bustling around putting up decorations and stuff. But nah. Except for the eye mask thingies that we made the week before, we don't have any decors. Kinda sad, but we had the best after-party! Hahaha!

Well, only very few members attended. Not even half! Another sad thing. And only three of them dressed up for the cosplay theme. I know, my costume sucked (I wore my senior softball jersey and told them that I'm dressed as me three years ago). But we had a blast.

I was assigned to do the name tag writing at registration. I made pretty name tags yey! Now my addiction to colored pens is out. It doesn't really jive with my image. Hmm. They played my "theme song" as Retch calls it during registration. Guess what it is.

Guess.

Ok ok. It's the SPIDER PIG SONG!!!

I do love that song. It's so cute. I'm just not sure whether I should be happy that it's supposed to be my theme song or not...

The CnP video was awesome. It was silly. It was hilarious. It was embarrassing. But I love it!!! I suck at acting but who cares?! We were all in it together!!! (Cue the song... Ok, scratch that.) There were a couple of games. The Sagady-Sa-Po-Po thing was alright. This is a biased comment because we lost to another group. Hehe. The "Speed Knowing" (a version of speed dating) thing we did was fun. I think we were given only a minute to talk. And as you now, I'm such a blabber so the minute was up before my partner had to talk lol! So I changed my strategy and just asked the questions. Two of my flockies attended. I'm very lucky to have them because they are active and they reply to my text messages! But Nikka had to go home early. Aw. Too bad she didn't get to see her flockhead make a fool of herself... (Nobody told me my hair was so messed up in the video that I looked electric-shocked. I did love the background music though. Hey! Nothing You can say! Nothing's gonna change what you've done to me... *Kilig!* I <3 style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0); font-weight: bold;" face="trebuchet ms">boyband songs. Everyone just got into the room and sang and danced along with the song. It seriously showed how old we were. Like, so old... Huhuhu! But it was a lot of fun. Super. I kinda missed doing that with my friends. You know, being crazy and corny. I wish somebody had videotaped that so we can all laugh at it later.... But I guess no one brought a video camera.

As a result, I downloaded F4 songs and was listening to them since last night. Yeah, I know, it's embarrassing. But I missed those songs. It's weird really. My mom's even laughing at me. She says that I'm already really old because I'm already reminiscing at this age. (I was looking through high school photos the other day.)

Well... I miss those days. I'm beginning to get scared whenever I think about "what's next" because what's next is senior year. And then after that, it's work... And it'll go on forever... I just don't know how life would be.

Oh well. Don't wanna think about that now.

Tep is Happy Today

Today, I turn 20.

I feel so old... But oh well. I can't make myself stay 17 forever. I kinda miss that year...

I had a blast today. Really. I was up by 6am because I was gonna have breakfast with my friends at 7:30. I arrived kinda late (15 minutes late to be exact... or was it 16?). My other friends had a 9am class so we had to hurry. We did enjoy that brief moment of company. I love them! The four of us who didn't have class today hung out a few minutes more. We went for another round. It was a buffet after all. :) I felt like puking after that.

So, there were 3 of us left. Since Eastwood (the mall part) was still closed, we took a cab to Gateway. It was too early for movies. I can't watch The Simpsons with them because I was gonna watch it with my friends later. So we watched Blind Dating. Chris Pine was oh so cute!

But before that, before Dimpsy left, we did a little photoshoot:

That was a lot of fun. Medyo malabo lang nga ang camera ko... Argh!

So after that, I went to Greenhills to meet my high school friends. We had to hang out for about an hour since we missed the 3:00pm showing. I was feeling tired so I was a bit silent. Maybe the weight of the big 2-0 is bearing down on me... My friend said that I'm "officially" single now. Well, haven't I been for the last 20 years?! What's the difference now? Well, maybe because time is running out? I don't know. I've kind of come to terms with being single...And maybe for the rest of my life. Because hoping is one way of hurting oneself. At least I won't be super disappointed when no one comes along.

Anyhoo, we watched The Simpsons! It was a bit corny at the end, but overall, the movie was just hilarious! I love it! I still can't get the Spider Pig song out of my head! I'm gonna download that later... I love the orchestra twist they added to it.

I got home at around 8pm. Another food fest began! I'm full to the brim right now. Some relatives of mine came. I was tired (still am) so I wasn't much of a host...Sorry guys! But I just absolutely love my cake...

I know know, this is like, absurd for a 20-year-old. But it's my birthday. And I pick what I want. Lol! It's a bit small, but it's great. :) I think the cake people who made this thought that I was cuckoo or something. My brother said that when he told them that he was having the cake made for a 20-year old, the woman laughed. Ha.

I haven't sliced through Harry yet. Maybe tomorrow. Or next week. Or maybe I'll preserve it forever...

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!!! And thanks so much to everyone who greeted me! Thanks! You absolutely made my day. :)

MIRACLES EXIST!!!!!!

We won!

We won!

We did!

Seriously, I almost cried right after the clock went 00.0. I cannot believe that we won. I'm really sorry for not believing in our team. Well, based on past experiences (when I already am in ADMU), we lost. A lot. And I mean a lot a lot. Thinking that we were up against DLSU, many people, including teachers, were saying, "Do you think we'll win?" I was thinking, yeah well... I'm not quite confident that we will, but I hope so.

And we did!!!!!

I'm just really really really happy. I want to thank GOD for helping us out and blessing us with unbelievable players. Thank you so much Lord!

I'll stop here, because unlike some people I know, I don't rejoice in other people's misery. Unless it's Voldemort's. But we now what happened to him.

What, haven't read Deathly Hallows yet? Well...did you know that

HARRY AND RON SLEPT TOGETHER!!!

Eragon Weekend

I actually went out last weekend. Hooray! I'm not a loser.

My friends and I went to see Eragon. Although the flick wasn't everything I expected, the experience was.

It's been a month since I last saw my friends, others even longer than that. It was so invigorating seeing their faces and laughing at their jokes again. It felt like I was back in high school. And with the torture I'm experiencing in school now, last Saturday felt like heaven on earth.

Except for the part when my shoes started killing me.

After the movie, we stayed at a McDonald's for dinner. It's a money thing. Even though gourmet that night was a tray of McRice Burger and fries, it became the most delicious dinner because of the craziness of my companions. Although at some point I was just staring blankly into space 'coz they started talking about school (there were 11 of us, only 4 of us went to different schools from the other 7). Nonetheless, that night was the best night I've had in weeks.

There was thing betting incident...

Nah, I'm not gonna tell it here. It was so funny!

So, on to the movie.

I was excited to see it 'coz it had great hype. I know, hype doesn't determine quality, but I was just curious. I think I was craving for another LOTR. But now I know that nothing can level with LOTR in that genre of movies.

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. It had the potential to really grab the audience and be grand and make our chests swell like the fight scene in LOTR:ROTK, but it came short. But it was pretty neat. Maybe it's because it's the first installment. I heard it's gonna be a trilogy. I didn't much care for the first two LOTRs, but the third just blew me away. Maybe the third Eragon will. Hopefully.

Ed Speleers, the guy who played Eragon, was pretty okay. I remember Daniel Radcliffe a.k.a. Harry Potter's first three movies. He lacked facial expression. Ed, however, was okay at it, though he also does need to improve his acting. Especially his crying. His efforts of crying really showed when the camera zoomed in on his face. It was kinda funny. But all in all, the movie was okay.

So, as much as I hate to, I really have to go work now. *Argh*

Smackdown Rocks!

Last night was a blast!

My brother and I were a little bit late. We missed about three matches, I think. The Diva's match, the one with Vito (he rules!) and the tag team match with London and Kendrick.

When we got upstairs, there was this loud rumbling sound that's kind of making an earthquake. I was like, "Way cool! Who's on?" Then someone said, "It's Lashley!" I thought, darnit! How much did we miss if they're playing Lashley already? So I ran to the next door where the first doorman pointed us to and showed the doorman there our tickets. But then that doorman told us that the right door was the one where we came from. Gawd! These people! I told the first doorman we're in 305 and there was a huge sign saying 304-305 above the doorway but still, he pointed us to the other direction. We missed precious moments of that fight.

Lashley was against Regal. To tell you the truth, I expected Lashley to be bigger. He is big though. And I thought Regal would look really old and faint, you know? But he looks bigger and a bit younger live. He pretended to have a broken leg. Medics ran out to the ring and examined him while he rolled around in pain. Then, two referees helped him up to get down. Lashley was sitting on a rope.

Guess what happened next.

Regal jiggled his foot as if to check if it's okay, and then BAM! A boot to the face of Lashley! The crowd cheered! At last, the match is gonna push through. We were expecting money wasted.

Regal put up a pretty good fight, I mean, for an old guy. It would've been more fun if Vito stuck Regal's head under his skirt (I really wanna see that, haha!) but hey, it's Lashley! Love that guy. The match was pretty long, and Lashley won eventually (no surprise there). The huge guy went up the four posts of the ring and did that thing where he stick his hands under his arms and bring them out, pointing to opposite directions. (Okay, if you watch WWE you'd know what I'm talking about). I screamed like hell! Almost choked on my nachos.

Actually, I was already on the verge of choking. The guy that's sitting beside me smelled so AWFUL! I thought it was just one of those phantom smells, but my brother smelled it coming from that guy too! Bro said he smelled like crap, I think he smelled like rotten garbage. I swear. He stank to the pits of hell.

So that stench concludes the first part of the Smackdown account. 'Til next post!

Three Day Break---> SALAMAT!!!

It's the start of my three-day break that I've been waiting for for two weeks...

Thank Goodness!!!

But no, it's not gonna be all fun fun fun this weekend, though. I've already got a list of things to do. Notes to make, articles to read, research to...search for? Wha? Okay, my brain isn't working that weel...It's almost 2 am and I'm really tired. I've been staying in school until 6 pm this whole week (except Tuesday). Orgs, group consultations, more org stuff...

Stress is killing me.

Right now, we've got an abundant supply of green tea because my dad was given a ton of them as presents. My brother and I have been chugging gallons of tea like it's water. I'm expecting to have a better complexion and an improved digestive system in a month. Green tea has antioxidants, right? Yeah.

A prof of mine asked the class the other day, if this was a perfect world, what would you be doing right now?

Well, my answer would be... If this was a perfect world, I would've been the one who wrote Harry Potter! Haha! I'd be J.K. Rowling, except that I'd be me, and look like Angelina Jolie with a Brad of mine. I'd also be helping out in Africa or here, in the Philippines ('coz I'd be based in London, haha!). I'd also be a top advertising person or magazine editor like Jennifer Garner in 13 going on 30. With that fantastic fashion sense, too, and money to buy clothes. And then I'd be secretly a superhero with magical powers (I really want a wand)... Or maybe that's too cheesy. Basta, I'd have the power to alleviate poverty, maybe even completely eliminate it.

Okay, I'm not making sense anymore. My brother is watching On the Line again.

I promise to write a more intellegible post next time when I get my brain back.

YEHEY!!!

Finally, after torturing myself over it for 4 long days, I've finally completed Chapter 16!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!! Drinks all around!

So now I'm off to rack my brain for Chapter 17. Help me please. I'm not sure if I'd reach until 20, I think not, unless something flows out of my head again.

On another happy note, my friend introduced me to Wikimapia, a sort of Google Earth thing. I finally found my roof! Hooray!!!

Okay, now I'm really off to Chapter 17. I need to finish this by Friday so that everybody can read it already!

Baby Doggie!

Wala lang! I'm just happy! My doggie is well! Woohoo! He's been sick for months, and about a week ago he went under the knife (something about his intestines was wrong; he actually swallowed a stone) and for days he was just lying there with pus oozing out of his belly....

And now he's up and bugging us at the dinner table again!

I love Dinggers!!!

Feeling Shitty

Wow, another month had passed. Well, almost.

Sigh.

It's almost 3 AM and I'm still awake. I have to get to school at around 6:30 AM tomorrow. What the hell am I doing up?

One thing, I'm finishing the freaking story I was plugging in the previous post. Yeah, I thought a week should do it, but it's almost a month and I haven't finished yet. It's looking like it'll extend until 20 chapters. Great.

I can't really be vivid here because blog hunters prawl in the shadows. They might see this, and identify me as me, so I can't really diss any real people here. All I wanna say is, well, related to the title. This afternoon, in school, I was doodling, and suddenly I got called for recitation. I had no idea what I was going to say. I tell you, the person standing in front wasn't someone you'd gladly have tea with, if you know what I mean. So yeah, I hope I didn't get on that person's bad side, or else I might me looking into summer school as early as this month. I'm kinda scared, so I'm feeling shitty. It's my fault I let my head float in the clouds, knowing that someone's bound to be watching me. I'll keep my nose clean this time and pay attention and never be late again (except maybe on tuesdays and thursdays).

On a happier note, Lee Dong Wook, my love, is here in my home country. I am ecstatic! I'm planning on finding out where he's staying and stalk him until he leaves, but, that's Julianne's work (if you haven't read the story I plugged, you wouldn't know what I'm talking about so go click it now!). I need a Kash to be with me, and hopefully get that snowy moonlight kiss, too. But we don't have snow here so...so much for that.

I've got a new phone, nothing fancy, but it has a camera so I'm uber happy with it. Finally, after a year and a half of being left behind in techies, I'm finally back in the game. That mobile phone photo contest just sounded a bit more interesting now that I have the cam phone.

Anyhoo, toodleoo to all of you. I need to shut my eyes now 'coz my head is starting to throb. Hoorah for the newly-fixed internet connection.

'Til next!

Ho-hum

I've just noticed.

As I skimmed through my blog, checking if there's any new comment (f.y.i., there's none-nobody's reading this at all), I noticed that my first archived month was February 2005. A year later, here I am, still blogging. In a couple of weeks, it'll be this blog's first birthday! Yey!

I ponder upon the meanings of a first birthday. Well, obviously it means that this blog has been around for a year (and I hope it'll have more birthdays to come!). But that's not all. Looking back on previous posts, it's like nothing has changed, at the same time, a lot did change. For one, there's a new pope since I first posted! And I've graduated from high school already. I'm a year older (a year wiser...? Nah...) and I've got straight hair now (although the new growth is showing already and the fuzz is back!). Less pictures on posts. I use English (but at times when I'm braindead I use Filipino). The layout is different from when I first posted. I'm more at home with school already. My hair is longer, and there are more animals in my house now. I think I was funnier back then, a more interesting read. Hmm. I should be funnier.

*makes crazy eyes*

Is that better?

The things that are still the same are... I still hate school, though for slightly different reasons. Now it's Physics that I loathe. I'm still asleep all the time (alarm clocks are sort of useless for me). I'm still LAZY as HELL. I still use this blog for procrastination purposes (I'm supposed to be doing my research paper right now). I'm still fat and ugly (but ten pounds lighter!). I still miss my friends. I still HATE Valentines Day, because I still have no "someone special" to give me a humongous teddy bear on V-day. I'm still in love (?) with someone and he still doesn't know it.

I'M STILL HERE, AREN'T I???

And maybe this blog isn't as cool or interesting or funny or pretty as other blogs out there, but as long as I have it, and it's a documentation of how I spent my earlier days so I can look back on it and laugh my ass off someday, then it's still worth keeping and I'm proud of it.

Maybe someday, a thousand archive months from now, the posts would be better, or the graphics, or the layout, because I might be a professional photographer or a journalist or an Ad girl at that time already. And I want to reread all these crazy, stupid, hysterical, embarrassing, weird nonesense that I wrote and remember how I got to where I am tha time.

Now, on a lighter note:

I'VE GOT A NEW PUPPY!

Her name is SNOOP, although I call her puppy and my brother calls her Big Dawg (he likes generic names). She slept on my bed last night, and I was afraid to move all night for fear of squashing her. She's half labrador and half spitz (I think) and she's the most adorable puppy in the world! When Dinggers saw her, he crashed our screen door and charged towards her! I picked her up and ran to the saftey of the kitchen. I got her yesterday.

Videos of her later! :)

Babies!

I have baby rabbits in my room!

They’re oh so adorable! There are two of them, a girl and a boy. One is white, one is gray. I don’t know which one’s a girl and which one’s a boy.

My brother brought them home Christmas Eve. I think they’re a gift from his girlfriend. Last time, we had rabbits too. The first one was also from his gf and was also a Christmas gift. And then the next one… I don’t know, but they’re from the same person. The second rabbit died because of an infection on its nose. I think it was a he. The first one was a she. The first one’s name was Rabbit, the second one’s Bai Tu (that’s white rabbit in Chinese!)! So Bai Tu died months ago, when I was still in 4th year high school because of an infection on his nose. Rabbit died I think 2 months ago. I really don’t know the cause, but she just got really sick but the helpers downstairs didn’t even tell us that she’s ill. My brother was so upset when he learned that the just threw Rabbit’s corpse out. He was planning on burying her properly.

The new rabbits however, are in perfect health! They’re so baby! They’re just 2 months old, and they’re kind of scared of my brother and I, especially the gray one. When we try to hold him/her, s/he jumps away! S/he’s so jumpy! We called the white one White Boy (though we’re not sure if it’s a girl or a boy) and the gray one Black Guy. Whatever their gender is, those are their names. Hahaha!

They eat a lot, and drink even more! Well, we placed a mini doggie dish inside their box (their cage isn’t made yet) but they keep on tipping it over so now rabbit pellets are scattered all over the floor with their poop. Eew. I’ll have to clean that out. I don’t want to think that they’re mistaking their own poop for food.

I'll post their pics when I get my digicam back. :)

Fourth Day of Christmas

I’m too sleepy to do any serious blogging right now…
I know I haven’t updated for almost a week.
I had papers.
I have papers until the end of time.
Just ask Mysh.

So anyway, Christmas is just around the corner and I’m sooo very excited! Truthfully, the excitement I’ve been feeling for the past 2 weeks kinds wore off, I don’t know why, but I’m waiting for it to come back. I just know it will.

I just came back from Greenhills Night Market awhile ago. It was packed! I could barely move. This afternoon when I napped, it was so chilly! I love it! I didn’t have to turn on the aircon. And I was wearing sando and shorts and no blanket. When I woke up, I was frozen.

So as promised, here are the things I’m thankful for today. This is for the 22nd.

Jacket – keeps me warm
Yahoo Messenger – send a message and be connected forever! (ok, cheesy)
McDonald’s Jelly Sundae – it’s delish! I swear! Try it!
Fudgee Bars – choc-choc-chocolate with every bite!
Dinggo the dog – he’s the most adorable dog in the whole wide world!
Softball – this…I wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for this
DVDs – entertainment for just 70 pesos!
Internet – or else how would I be blogging?
Alarm clocks – keeps me from being late…sometimes
Chocolate – good for the heart, good for me!
Cake – I wanna make one
Funny shows – relief in a world of bulls***

Ninth Day of Christmas

I'm writing Christmas cards tonight. Tons of it!

I feel like an elf. :(

But I love writing, so that's okay! I'm just scared that I won't be able to finish everything by Monday, with 3 more papers to submit and all...

But... GOOD NEWS!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is shortlisted for an Oscar on Best Visual Effects!

and

"Do the Hippogriff" is longlisted for Best Original Song for a Montion Picture.

I'm sooo excited for them! It's time they win an award, they deserve it! They've got tough competition though (King Kong and Narnia) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

So for today, here's my list:

J.K. Rowling - writer of the best series ever (no matter what anybody says!)
Harry Potter books - my home
Harry Potter movies - they make me have something to look forward to!
The cast and crew of HP movies - great job guys, right from the start!
HP merchandise - they help me show that I'm proud to be a HP fan!
Warner Brothers - for making my world come to life
Pancit Canton - yummy!
Cooking Shows - although they make me constantly hungry, I still love watching them.
Text messaging - a simple way of showing care :)
Snail Mail - for me, this is a more special way of letting someone know that you care. it takes more time, it means more love. :)
Christmas Carols - I just love listening to them... makes me tingle and warm all over!
The Rat Pack - best singers of all time...their Christmas album is wonderful!
