This is NOT Bumming

It's been almost 5 months since I've officially graduated. No, I still don't have a "regular" job. However, the t-shirt business is keeping me busy, even if it seems to my parents that I'm just lazing around all day in my room.

It annoys me that they think that. I mean, yeah, I do want a regular paying job because my money at hand is dwindling down to nothing. I'm estimating that my current fund will last me at most another month and a half. It's not like I'm not trying; I've applied online for 10 jobs and I've applied for another 10 earlier this year in our school's job fair. Sometimes it frustrates me that none of them are calling. I mean, I read and re-read my resume and it's not bad at all. I don't know what's wrong with it.

On the other hand, I'm totally having fun with Shirt Street. Yeah, it's hard doing online marketing (a concept my parents cannot grasp as legit), and since we're new and the market is more or less saturated, we have to go extra lengths to promote our site and products. We always have new ideas, but sometimes you just run out of those and you just stare at a wall, wishing for a miraculous sales spike.

Last night, thinking of new ways to market even robbed me of my early-sleep plan. But it's okay. This is experience, something very valuable to all the potential employers out there. I've even started (self-) studying again. That's a big thing for me, one who thinks reading textbooks should only be done for school. Lol. Now I NEED to. I will have to raid my mom's bookshelf later.

Still, it's sad that when my parents, and sometimes even my brother, sees me in front of my laptop when they get home, they think that I just wasted the day sleeping and idling by on Facebook. Grr.
