Making Dreams Come True...

Wow, almost a week that I didn't write a new post! Hmm... Busy? Duh, no... Hahaha! I had a long long weekend last week, and that kind of set me in the "vacation" mood because the long weekend started last Thursday... so there. I'm in my vacation mood. Then Friday, my brother went to Mimosa (not sure if that's the right spelling) with his whole barkada, and they stayed there until Sunday. So I got bored last Friday, I went to my bro's room, and looked for DVDs. Nope, there aren't any good ones I haven't watched yet. So... I turned to his VCD collection. As my DVD player isn't working, (it refuses to open its ickle plate thing where you put the cd) I hauled my brother's player from his room to mine.

Success. I managed to connect the new player, wires and all.

So what movie will I watch?

I rummaged through the whole CD case... And I ended up watching Princess Diaries 2, becasuse I was in the mood for "feel good" movies... You know, yung hindi na kailangang mag-isip. Haha! So that's the story behind my weird magical, princessy, fairytale-ish state since Friday. I am soooo weird! I don't know why it took me this long to like fairytales. I'm supposed to be into fairytales when I was...4 or something. But I don't have a favorite Disnay princess like all the other girls, until now. If asked, well... the only fairytale Disney princess movie that I saw was Beauty and the Beast. So I guess I prefer Belle.

Well, it isn't exactly the "prince charming" that I like about it. I'm talking about Princess Diaries 2. Yeah, Lord Nicholas and Duke Andrew Jacoby were two gorgeous guys, but I liked the way of living more. The culture, the formality, the wackiness behind closed doors, the beautiful setting, and of course... the gorgeous outfits!!! Ok, so I know I'll never be like Mia. Duh, I'd have to be royal to have that kind of life. But... well, a girl can dream...

And now, I have to go, so that I can make a more possible dream of mine come true: pass my first term in college!!!!!!

Tell me, who's your favorite Disney princess? Whehehehehe! :p

Nagpaparinig lang...

"Secret Love"
Just a friend
That’s all I’ve ever been to you
Oh just a girl
Who wants to be the center of your world
But I ain’t got much to offer
But my heart and soul
And I guess that’s not enough
For you to notice me
I’m just a girl
And I guess that’s all I’ll ever be to you
I try to smile when I see other girls with you
Acting like everything is ok
But ohh
You don’t know how it feels to be so in love
With someone who doesn’t even know
My secret love
In my dreams
I see us both together constantly
Why can’t you see
This love that’s here for you inside of me
Ohhh
What do I have to do
For you to notice this
You look at her with love
With me it’s just friendship
I’m just your girl
And I guess that’s all I’ll ever be to you
What do you see in her
You don’t see in me (don’t see in me)
Boy you’re so hard to believe
Why do you show her love
But there’s none for me
Boy you don’t make sense to me
Cause I don’t have much to offer
But my heart and soul
And I guess that’s not enough
For you to notice me
I’m just your girl
And I guess that’s all I’ll ever be to you

If "Obvious" by Westlife, for me, is a perfect song for...you know...him... then I found the perfect-est song EVER. It hits the nail on the head. I feel exactly exactly exactly like this. Everything is exactly like this. As in.
And I bet if he gets to read this post, he'll think I was talking about someone else...how manhid could you be?! But..... I miss him so much......! :(

I got TAGGED!

Tea... tsk. Pinasahan mo pa ako ng pagkakaabalahan. Hehehe! Anyway, I think this is a cute game! :) And because I'm in the mood right now, though I'm famished, I'll answer these questions.

What are the things you enjoy even when no one around you wants to go out and play?
--> Well... I'm not really the "go out and play" type of person. I always want to just stay home and stay under my covers. My brother even asked me how I could survive just being in my room for weeks. Haha! That's my talent. ;) Well, the things I enjoy doing are...

  1. TV - can't live wothout TV. I watch cartoons mostly because they're very relaxing.
  2. Watch a Movie - not in the cinemas. I just go and rummage through ny brother's DVD collection and pick a movie. Call me corny, but if I do want to relax, I watch teeny-bopper movies like What a Girl Wants, Princess Diaries... those kind of movies. They're really cute and they got that kilig factor. Masarap lang sila panoorin kasi di na kelangan mag-isip! Gets kaagad!
  3. Read a Book - Yup. Pareho kami ni Tea. Hahaha! Especially last summer, I read like, almost 20 books. I like chick-lit. Ok, so their intelligence level is like, nil, but reading to learn is done in school. For me, when I read at home, it's not to increase me IQ but it's for enjoyment and relaxation. There's enough brain-wrecking reading assignments in school!
  4. the Net - my routine. But sometimes, I just go and look for different websites, download music, konting soundtrip, update my blog, chat sa YM, all those things. Minsan read HP fics. Hahahaha I'm such an addict.
  5. Eat - of course, the movie gets better if you munch on something! Like me, there are emotional eaters out there... And well, food is a comforting agent for us. So I eat.
  6. SLEEP - people who know me know that I sleep A LOT. As in I sleep in school, when I get home I sleep, in the car I sleep, at night of course I sleep, whatever chance I get, I sleep. I'm a very very sleepy person. Hehehe! When I wake up, everything looks better na. :)
What lowers your stress/ blood pressure/ anxiety level?
--> I don't really know... but there's one thing that makes me feel better.
  1. SLEEP.

Need i say more? I don't know, but sleep helps me a lot. If I feel like shit, I sleep, and then when I wake up, everything feels better. When I get scared, I sleep, then everything feels better. Like in the forst days of college, I was sooo sooo sooo sad, I missed everyone sooo bad, and so I go home, I feel like shit, I just go straight to my room and sleep. Para bang sa iba, kung may problema, inuman sila. Ako, kung may problema, itutulog ko nalang! Kahit mga 1 hr lang, paggising ko ok na. Weird ba? Hehehe!

Well, sometimes it's food. Chocolate. Or ice cream.

Ayan, ang haba na! Hehehe! So I'm gonna tag... Mysh! :)

As I was about to close my eyes last night, I did my routine last check on my cellphone, see if anyone wanted to say goodnight...(hmm, may hinihintay....yihee! c mysh lang. hahaha!) I was glad to see that at least one person remembered me tonight. I thought it was just the same old corny (but funny) jokes, but it was not. I stopped and took in the message.

"One year ago na yung retreat natin. Remember, August 3? I miss you guys."

Those weren't the exact words, but it brought back that nostalgic feeling again. I couldn't believe it. Our retreat, our beloved retreat. That was already a year ago? I kind of felt guilty that I forgot the date. Time's passing by so fast; everything's a blur. I'm already 18, but I still forget. Hehehehe! Anyway, yeah. It didn't really sink in last night, because I was already very sleepy.

Around 9 am awhile ago, free cut in Filipino! So as always, I went to the library to do math. After solving a few problems, my mind drifted away to that message from last night. The same feeling swept over me, and I couldn't go on manipulating the numbers in front of me. I took out my mobile phone. I needed to remind everyone as Mysh did. I needed to know if they felt the same way, that I wasn't the only one looking really dumb, sitting in the library, Math book in front of me, crying my eyes out. Ok, I exaggerated that. But I got really misty-eyed. So I texted the 4-A people. A couple of replies later, well, it didn't exactly make me feel better. They made me miss them even more. But I was happy. They did remember, and even though some only replied something like, "Yah.", I knew that later on today, when they're alone and everything is quiet, they'll remember those three wonderful days of bonding and reflection. May konting drama pa at the start, remember guys? :)

Saturday Morning Cartons...

Hello! Wow, it's been over a week since I've last posted... busy? More like, lazy... hehehe! Anyway, there's nothing new to tell. Ok, so now I'm officially 18. If my dad can see me right now watching cartoons, he'll say, "Ang tanda mo na cartoons ka pa rin!" as he always does. I like cartoons. They're... relaxing. After a long week's tiring mind exercises specially MATH, I just want to sit back and watch Bugs and Daffy whack each other. Know what I mean? I don't have to think when I'm watching cartoons... hahaha see how lazy I am? Well, yeah... My mind is blank right now.

Anyway. Tapos niyo na ba basahin HP6? Hahaha! It just came back to me, the book. Hiniram kasi. I love it sooo much! Hahaha I wanna read it again! Kaso I have other stuff to do pa... =( Last Monday, I went to Powerplant to see a movie. When I got to the cinema, the place where Dish used to be became..... FULLY BOOKED! I was... mesmerized. Lots of books, just beyond my reach... It's like, heaven! Hahaha! So I went in, and saw this humongous shelf filled with Half-Blood Prince! Wow... If only I had a camera with me, I would've taken some pics of that shelf. Then I went to the uh... kiddie section, I think. There were the other Potter books, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book! It was so cute! And all the other books that I wanna buy. But the books, just beyond my reach, are also beyond my wallet's reach... hehehe. So I just looked around. And when I finally got back to the cinema, I had 10 missed calls from Sarah and Melanie! The movie was staring in 5 minutes. But luckily, we got in just as the last trailer was playing. Shux. I missed the HP4 trailer...

Well, I guess that's all for now. I have to go to the mall and buy a gift for my friend and some baking stuff. Grace gave me this book entitled 1001 Cookies! It's sooo amazing! I wanna try out some of those recipes so... I have to go now.

Mamaya nalang ulit!

Inis sa Sarili!!!!!!!!!

Ok, iksi lang ito sobra....... grrr talaga! Di ako nakapunta sa kahit isa man lang Harry Potter parties nung 16! Ang tanga tanga ko! I knew about one sa Glorietta, pero I didn't know it's a full-out gathering. Akala ko mga stall lang na namimigay ng HP stuff. Argh! And lalu na yung sa Powerplant! I didn't know about that! And there I was last week complaining about people here not having HP parties... Eh ako lang naman pala itong tanga! Argh! I soooooooooo regret it! Pahiram nga ng Time-Turner jan! I have a friend, and she showed me a pic of her with costume-clad people in PPlant! Argh! Kahit late siya sumating soon, at least nakarating siya! Eh ako, at that time, I was walking around the house wearing pjs waiting for the book! Hay dapat nagparty muna ako! Nakakainis! Wala daw kasing driver, pero wala din namang lumakad nung umaga, it started at 7am til 9am daw eh! Argh! Hay, inis talaga! Sana sa Book 7 weekend ulit, pupunta na talaga ako!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something dawned on me...

This dawned on me while I held HBP, still in its plastic, in my hands. I was thinking, "Wow, this is it. After two long years... The countdown in my desktop is finally over." I was gonna place a screenshot here, but I've already deleted it. Aw... Anyway, there. I was savouring its newness, the magic within... Most of me wanted to just rip the plastic open and start devouring it right away, but there's this little part of me that told me to stay put for a minute, cherish the moment that I'd be opening a brand new HP book, because this is my second-to-the-last chance of doing that. In two years or so's time, I'd probably be holding in my hands the last of the precious HP books. So I took about 10 more minutes just staring at the cover, relishing its... well, magic.

I got into thinking... What will happen to me after HP7? All will end, maybe almost everything will be answered. No more theoretical essays, no more guessing games. That's the end of it all. Hay. Now I'm kind of feeling that my life will be over soon. This all started when I was 13, and maybe after 7 or 8 years, I'd have nothing to do again. I'd have nothing to channel my attention to. Nothing exciting... HP has become such a big part of my life that I really feel a part of my life seeing its end. Anu na, paano na ako?

HP served as inspiration, comfort, and escape from the real world for me. When I started univ, I went hope everyday feeling sick and sad. I hook up the net and check out Mugglenet. After reading several HP editorials, I'd feel better. Maybe Mugglenet will go on until all seven movies are finished. I hope so. Well, I'd still have gazillions of fanfics to read, not even completing mine yet. 4 chapters palang! Want a sample? Hehehe! =)

Anyways, ayan lang muna... I'm going crazy na sa antok haha just got home kaninang mga 9:30pm eh nanuod kasi kami ng play.

Check out Movie 4's new-edition website! GOBLET OF FIRE !!! It has this cool support your favorite champion in the Triwizard Tournament feature!!!

Having a hard time Keeping it Secret

I'm a very considerate person. So considerate that I'm sucking out all the last bits of my self control just to keep myself from posting here the "Sirius" of Book 6 and of course, the identity of the HBP. I know some of you may already know who they are, but I'm PLEADING, please don't spoil ot for everyone else. They have the right to discover it themselves, and for us who've already enjoyed the book, we have the duty to just shut up about it. Of course, we can drop vague hints of their identities...

I badly want to read Book 6 again, I really do, because I want to write an editorial for Mugglenet. I've been forming one since I finished reading, but I just need to, you know, check infos and site passages and stuff. I've read a couple of editorials today, and well, some of their theories really did come true! And I want to congratulate the Harry-____ shippers! You stuck to the right pair! Hehehe! Me, I don't think my supported ship will ever happen. I'm a Hr/D shipper. J.K. Rowling (I just discovered that it rhymes with bowling, not howling!) has said that Draco will never have a 180 degrees turn and stick with the "good side", so I doubt he'll ever even consider liking Hermy the muggle-born.

Harry's growth physically and emotionally is very noticable in Book 6. Decisions worthy of an adult was made by him. You'll find out soon, once you reach the last chapet ("The White Tomb").

Some may find this book to be crap or boring or just not as good as the others, especially GoF. GoF was jam-packed with all the adventure and events that are, well, kind of happy. Mostly in books 1 to 3, Harry went through events with Hermione and Ron by his side. We get views of many other people's heroic acts as well as Harry's, and also their different reactions to things, that's why we find them more exciting. There are more people involved.

However, in Book 6, you'll find Harry acting alone. Yes, he still had his friends, they still did things together, but you'll see the significant maturity that has overcome him. In this book, it's all darker and a whole lot more serious. In books 1 through 3, Harry's defeat of Voldy were made possible because of outside help.

Book 1--the love that's in his skin (?) that made him untouchable
Book 2--Fawkes the phoenix and the Sorting Hat
Book 3--Dumbledore and the time turner

In book 3, he really didn't face Voldy because Voldy's got no body yet. Harry's biggest enemy there are well... the Dementors. It's only in Book 4 that he really faced the new and whole Voldy, and engaged in a battle himself, without outside help, because he was transported to a graveyard without anyone knowing. In Book 4, Harry started to feel the weight of being "The Boy Who Lived". In book 5, after losing the only person he considered good enough as a parent, and also knowing about the prophecy, the pressure was even more. And of course, give credit to hormones for his irritating and bitter attitude in OotP. 15 isn't an easy age. I remember when I was 15... (and tanda ko na pakinggan!) Ok, I don't really remember anything. 16 was harder for me.

And now, concluding my rubbish excuse of a blog entry above, all I can say is Book 6 is a transition book. It explained a lot, but left even more to explain. That's why I myself found some parts boring, but if you look closely, it's all essential to know what will happen next, or it's an answer to previous mysteries. When a teacher in class explain things, it's often boring right? So we may fins it the same way in Book 6. But JKR had to do it, and for me, it's a very wonderful book, as it gave unexpected twists and turns, confirmed a lot of theories, and really showcased what a great writer JKR is. She managed to really show the growth of the characters. I liked it because Harry isn't an innocent goody-goody anymore. He took charge. Unlike before that he had to be assisted.

Ok, I'm still not making any sense. Math long test is on my mind!

Oh well, all we could do is wait for Book 7!

Nagluluksa...

Hay, I'm sad today. I don't know what's wrong with me. Friday, I was fine. I even had a soundtrip in my brother's room. I downloaded 80's rock! Haha! Yeah then Saturday came, I woke up at 8am to wait for the HBP delivery, but it came at around 1pm. But yeah, I already finished reading it.

I cried last night....

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Ok, I won't put spoilers here hehehe! Just some hints... Someone died, a really really major character... And it affected Harry so much... The Half-blood prince is someone you already know, and there's a lot of romance going on! A pairing came true!!! Just read :)

It's the darkest most confusing book ever! It's the most active Harry I've ever read. A lot of questions were answered by Book 6, but even more questions arose from it. Now, I'm really confused. Why did it happen? I thought that.... You have to have to have to read it. There are a lot of kilig factors and funny lines, but throughout the book, you'll feel the uneasiness, panic, and fear of the wizarding world. Everyone's on their toes all the time. And Book 6 established that LOVE and DECISION are the center of the series, and they're what makes our life.

Ok, sorry this doesn't make any sense at all, I don't wanna spoil it for anybody! I wanna discuss the facts so bad, but I guess I have to wait 'til after...6 months maybe? In order to be sure almost everyone had read the book already.
